Hi Xyliacs!
Happy Thursday, everyone!
If you are getting weary of flashbacks, we haven’t much more of it, children. If you are enjoying the flashback, I might ask you to read Nigel’s Opus the tale of Claude as a young concert pianist from 1915 (wait- you mean the guy floating in the water?) yeah…
I would like to thank everyone for your generous donations, and support. If you go to the donation page you can click on several items for automatic download. If you wish to donate an unspecified amount, please email me if you have a gift request.
Thank you everyone for sharing your fave webcomics with us on Monday! That helps us with finding some sites to advertise where other people might be interested in Xylia. Today’s question: what are your favorite music groups…songs…etc.?
Vote, TWC please! Today’s incentive is a portion of an upcoming chapter page in progress…
The Xyliacs Club is always a fun place to be! Please join if you haven’t already!
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading and believing in faeiries. And in gormless British guys. And in Corgis!
I LOVE JONAS!

I loved the whole dream/flashback episode! I’m also very curious to what Claudius is going to do next, to find Xylia. I’m guessing, he won’t find her all too soon yet.
The comic is really picking up speed now!
Thumbs up!
Favorite music : can’t begin to sum it all up. I enjoyed the Coldplay concert on TV last night…

I love Claudius :p
Music… well as I type I’m listening to the new Coldplay album which is awesome. Viva La Vida is an epic song. But I also like oldies… Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues. I always listen to music as I draw, just makes it all that more enjoyable.

Very good. I just read the entire comic in one sitting and I kinda like it. So far it’s very well written, though confusing in some bits, but intriguing at the same time. I look forward to seeing more of this.

Whee!!! Can’t wait to see what happens when he finishes waking up. *grin*
As for music, my tastes range from true oldies (’50s and ’60s music) all the way through instrumantal jazz, country, alternative, classical, and ’80 hair bands to hard rock and serious metal music. Can’t give you a favorite as it depends on my mood, but music that never fails me is a group called Apocalyptica for sheer versatility. They range from metal to almost classical and before someone says that’s an oxymoron, please check them out. They play metal music on cellos…very different, but everyone I’ve played them for loves it. They were awesome live, as well.
http://www.apocalyptica.com/ I can’t wait ’til they come back to the US next year, since I’m not going to OzzFest. Any one going will get to see them there. Enjoy!

My favorite band is Within Temptation, but they’re closely followed by Nightwish and Evanescence. I do listen to just about everything, though, excluding rap.
If you want to check out any songs, I’d recommend “Angels” by Within Temptation.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I love this comic! This is my first time commenting, but I’ve been reading it for a week or so. ^_^

I don’t usually comment on webcomics. I read many- so many that if I were to comment on even a selection of my favourites regularly, I would NEVER get to work.
But every now and again, there’s something I see which I just HAVE to comment upon.
“The OTHER barmy Englishman comic”?! PURE genius. I’d like to know which of you two thought it up; but we really do love our barmy Englishmen. (I’m not sure if Brits or Americans approve more, to be honest…!)
On the topic of the day- I’m a rocker/metaller myself. I love, oh, everything from Ayreon, to the Scorpions, to Nightwish, to Freedom Call, to Beseech, to… well, you get my drift. My one true musical love, however, is and always will be Meatloaf. Personally, music is one thing I simply could not fathom living without; and I know I wouldn’t be half the person I am today if not for music- and, more specifically, the music of Meatloaf. ^_^

Wow. Love this page. The last 2 panels remind me of when Dorthy opened the door after the tornado, & step out into Oz. Gorgeous!
Favorite groups or musical individuals: Steely Dan (shocking, I know), Prefab Sprout, Cocteau Twins, Kate Bush, The Rat Pack, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Level 42, Amy Winehouse, herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, Jamie Cullum, and the list goes on.

Thank you everyone for sharing favorite music with me. Very diverse tastes, which is awesome.
Jade- the Phoenix Requiem ad is all Sarah’s idea! I can take no credit except for having a story about a barmy Brit boy as well. ^_^ If you never had the chance to see it, you must look at Sarah’s Jonas/Claude pic she did a while back- it’s absolutely wonderful… click my name to see it.

I -want- Jonas’s coat.
… but I’ve always been a sucker for Trench style coats. I own too many. Hah! That’s a lie! You can’t own too many of those!
Right now I’m listening to Gravity by Maaya Sakamoto.
.. I -own- Charles’s trench coat…

Let’s see if I can get my comment to come through–I’ve been having trouble so far, every time I try. ^///^;
I like a LOT of music groups! But one of my favorites is Queen…Then there’s Blondie, Rush, The Bangles, Duran Duran, Adam Ant, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Go-Gos, Smashmouth, Huey Lewis & the News, Blue Oyster Cult, and man, man, MANY more! *lol* ^_^

oo, I am excited for what happens next. ^^
music!
Recently have been discovering more and more music by the Beatles – I know, kind of silly, but I’m relatively young and my parents never played much of it for me. Others – Jack Johnson, Counting Crows, Goo Goo Dolls, Lifehouse, Death Cab for Cutie. My favorite cds though are movie soundtracks, which somehow are the best mixes – Spiderman 2, Garden State, and Juno and Once (though those are basically Kimya Dawson and The Frames respectively).
Some fav composers for classical music – Dvorak, Brahms, Debussy (I’m a romantic, what can I say?), Mahler, Mozart (duh) . . .

Xylia is an awesome comic. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
My favorite music would be mostly concert music: Dvorak, Smetana, Chopin, Bach, Beethoven, etc.
I also like modern band and orchestra music, like “Colors” composed by Bert Appermont. The soundtrack for “Batman Begins” is also a masterpiece, as is the music from Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy VII. John Williams is O.K., but gets repetitive after a while.
As for modern popular music, I would say I find Jonathan Coulton’s music to be diverting.
