I’m the first to admit that action sequences are my weakness- and I don’t have a background in any kind of swordsmanship- I try to find good reference, but sometimes the angles aren’t quite right for the storytelling I’m trying to accomplish. I will try to work on that in future pages! Thanks!

I appreciate the dramatic side of what you were depicting, however, something about the first panel has bothered me for the past couple of days, since I tuned into to you drawing it, and I’ve now figured out what it is: As impressive as Tychia’s sabre strike against the spear is, the mechanics of the swing are wrong. Her elbow is locked out, and her wrist appears to be rolling over to finish the blow, which leads to a very weak blow and (possibly) a hyper-extended elbow/broken wrist.

i am certain someone will publish xylia tales. the distribution mechanisms of scott sava’s and lora innes’ publishers look good to me, though i really have no idea and i’m sure you get publisher advice from fellow artists. some of the comic publishers don’t seem to invest enough in promoting something new. it seems to me most comic creators take that on themselves. but…let’s pray for barb that her comic is a print success and not just “in print”.

I’ve always wanted to donate too, you know, but being a minor doesn’t help. I’m 17… I’m not sure how long I’ve been reading Xylia. I think I was linked from Phoenix Requiem.
