Most of you were not surprised by Damara’s appearance. But she is a bit of an enigma, isn’t she? Most things in this fantasmagorical world are pretty unexplainable to our hero though, and ourselves as well. Now we discover that she was a vision of sorts- something to let Claudius know it’s time for him to move on…
I got a very kind email from a reader this week expressing his gratitude at featuring a chivalrous male character in my story . “…And then I see Xylia, where Claudius is a woman’s view of the very best in us guys, and it reminds me that there are some women out there who like us and value us for who and what we are, not for who they want to turn us into or use us for.” This really meant a lot to me.

The third installment of the Xyliatales On Air Talk Show was a crazy mess of things- Jeremy and I wandered through topics as diverse as movies and Candadian dried milk- and the kid showed off some of his guitar skills while I chatted with a post prom committee member about a job! Today’s question is carried over from last week and related to Xyliatales On Air Show- what types of things would you like to see me do as topics? I was going to work on pages, but it’s really problematic for me to do, and also, I don’t want to do any spoiling. But are there things that you all think would make good subjects to discuss or show? PLEASE let me know!!

YES! FINALLY! A QUEST! I’m SO excited right now! Claudius gets to go on a knightly quest to rescue damsel in distress! OOOOOOHHHHH! WOOT! lol. I realize that it’ll prolly be a while before he runs into any danger. Cause now we have to see him saying goodbye to everyone and Livy has to have her say. lol. but I’m super duper excited

Once that watch starts, I don’t think it’s going to be very long before things start happening. And the watch already started.
And I think he’s going to walk right back into the middle of things, one way or another.

I was torn between being helpful and pointing it out and trying not to be annoying while doing so. I spend a fair amount of time at work proofreading, so I guess habit won out in the end.
Really enjoy the coloring in panel three, I always appreciate the details in work like that.

Barb! Where’d your store go? I bought your calander for my wifes birthday in December, and I wanted to surprise her with the Xylia teacup. (I know she wants it.) But… I can’t find out where your store went? There’s no links to it that I can find anywhere on your site. Help me out please?!

I don’t understand the difference between the colored speech bubbled and the regular kind.
Other than that, what I’ve read so far is brilliant.

Hiya Raye.
Because the faeries (and some others) often speak through thoughts, it can quickly become confusing who is thinking what and when. Especially if they were off panel. So the colored thought bubbles gives you a small hint in who is talking, since each individual has their own color.

Wow, a lot happens when you lose a computer. Hi, guys!!!
So that’s Damara…..kind of a heavenly presence, if a bit frustrating. For some reason I’m now thinking of that scene in “All Dogs go to Heaven” where “God” (for want of a better name) says, “Charlie….you can never come back….” over and over. That is just the right voice for her, I think.
Also, when did Amby (so glad I started that name!!!) start turning into Yoda? “How matters not. DO, or do not. Also, get some booty. That is all that matters.” Kind of a pimp version of Yoda, no?
Finally, Amby’s cane — is the jewel there significant? Of course it is, why else would it get a closeup like that?

Brent: Yup he is our own Christopher Lee version of Pimp Yoda. XD
