Dig the Light N’ Shadow pic!!

B, you have EARNED every last bit of support you have received.

There are good reasons why you have such a dedicated following, and why so many in that following are so articulate. Xylia Tales is not an average, mediocre webcomic. It’s not an appeals-to-the-lowest-common-denominator webcomic, as so many out there are. It is thoughtful, and complex, and evocative. It is one of the best out there. Yes, that is my opinion, but I think you’d find that opinion shared by hundreds, if not thousands.

Your art is easily among the best in web comics. Yes, the story is fantasy, and not everyone likes fantasy, but for those who do, especialy those who like hope, who like love, Xylia Tales is again in the top tier. Then on top of that, add in the time, effort, and the love that you poor into it, especially when you have so little time to spare, between family and work responsibilities. For anyone who pays attention, it is obvious that you love your work, and you love your audience. That matters to us.

Keep on keepin’ on, B. We love you, and we love Xylia Tales, and the characters who populate your story. We will keep on supporting you, and giving credit where credit is due.

Oops… “you ‘pour’ into it,” is what I meant….
    Brain editor wasn’t on… :-P

^_^ Sorry there was no real blog this Monday. Just a striped portrait, right Dave? ^_^

Octodude, thank you as always, for your kind words in encouragement of Xyliatales; for telling me that I have earned the support that I feel so humbled by in my readers. I DO love this project, but as you know, stress and worry can tarnish my desire to work on it. And if the love I have for it doesn’t come through in the art, I feel that it fails.

These are the times I keep on because of the other people who enjoy it – not myself.

There’s no comment link on your next post, so I’ll say it here:

TAKE YOUR TIME. Do what you need to do. A month, two months, whatever – just please keep us, your friends and (hopefully) extended family – in the loop.

To quote Billy Joel: “Do what’s good for YOU, or you’re not good for anybody.”

We can wait and we WILL wait.

    Be well, my friend.

    About the hiatus:

I didn’t see any comment field for today’s blog post, so I’ll just comment here instead. I never heard of Talismen until you mentioned it, so I surfed to the Talismen homepage hoping to find at least a few comics, but there was none at all. Okay, so Talismen was discontinued (sad, it seemed to be an interesting comic) but I would very much like to read it anyway.

Can you make the comic accessible again, Barb?
