comics for March 9, 2008 – 03/09/2008

Today’s message comes from my pal, and Xylia’s ‘Director of Marketing’, Canterrain.

Hello all!

I’m really excited to be helping Barb out with Xylia and running some of the advertising campaign of things.
What does this mean for you? Well mostly that if I do a good job Xylia will be more secure for the future.
Life is harsh and filled with bills. Those have to come first. So the more successful Xylia is the easier
Barb can work on it and more frequently she can work on it.

So you may be asking, what can I do to bring in more updates and extras? Good question. Here’s a list.

1) Donate.

Donations are a quick and easy way to get money into Barb’s hands. And can come with rewards if you donate
5 dollars or more: an ongoing story that updates once a month of Charlie’s ninth life! It comes with some illustrations too. If you want a preview click HERE.

2) Turn off your ad blocker.

We all have them. Especially Firefox users. But depending on how your particular ad blocker is working it -may-
be hurting Barb. Most are just fine. Some block out the ad entirely and Barb doesn’t get the credit for the pageview.
Plus, if yours blocks out Project Wonderful, you are doing yourself a disservice and missing out on opportunities to
get introduced to wonderful webcomics. It’s getting harder and harder to justify to someone paying for an ad that may
never been seen due to ad blockers.

3) Talk about Xylia.

Use discretion in this one. But where it would be welcome, talk up Xylia. Put a banner in your forum signature.
When a forum has a “your favorite webcomic’ thread, post about Xylia. Bring people to Barb.

4) Vote!

Being in the top 10 of TWC brings in premium traffic. Especially when you’ve not been there before. Xylia has
enough viewers to rocket it to the top if everyone who reads this votes right now. Oh and guys… I hear today’s
vote incentive involves Tychia and not all that much clothing. It only takes a minute and the button is right
in the upper right hand corner beneath the donation button. Or click HERE.

Those are just a few ideas, and three of them are free! Here’s hoping for good things for Xylia,

Canterrain

One final thing, from Barb here.
If you would be so kind dear readers to take a quick (like a minute and a half) survey , I would be most indebted!
This marketing survey will help us to post ads that are more interesting to you- our target audience- and thus being profitable for our site. Thank you very much in advance!

This is BRILLIANT! I have long looked for a fantasy comic, be it a web or normal comic, that is of this quality! I have searched far and low, the problem is most high fantasy comics are just ‘elves and epic battles are cool’ with nothing else behind them, so disappointing, they dont have any thought behind them. But this!! It seems you have researched into the fairie culture and have made something inspired from something real and interesting :) The story seems interesting so far, I like the idea of the door just apprearing anywhere, it seems as subtle and whimsical as fairies are! Also the idea that this all started happening when the Normans invaded, is that intentional? I always wondered if all the fairie stories started to change/dissapear with the invasion of the normans.
Great comic so far, its nice to see a fantasie with a bit more thought/character, I’m thouroughly pleased :)
