Hello Xyliacs!
New chapter. Hmmmmmm I shall be interested in the speculation on this pic. hee hee…
The fan art/fiction contest is now closed. We have some wonderful entries, and we are still getting things set up for public vote. That will take place next Monday. Please come back and see, they are really wonderful!
In case you missed it, the first Xylia nude image is available for download- Xylia Spring. As always, if you find any nudity offensive, please do not purchase them. Also, you must be 18! Today’s question: Now that some new characters have been added to the mix, as well as more info on some old characters, I put the question out to you again Xyliacs, who is your favorite character in Xyliatales?
EDIT: Okay, I’ve a bit more time to write now…
I wanted to mention that there are no contests in March, but we will have something cooked up for April!
Hopefully, it will not offend you dear readers new and old, if we resume the Donation Centre concept here at Xyliatales. The ‘Online Store’ concept seems to be a bust, and I think most of you prefer to donate money to ‘buying’ things. You are just that type of people. That said, I am planning to start a donation drive like we had in the past where you get more pages for more donations. I think I’m in a position where I can pull that off again if you are all game. The way we’re gonna do it this time is when the donation meter gets to $200.00, the following week will be a two page update. Please stay tuned- I also want to add some incentive gifts to make this more for you all. I was able to keep the Xylia boat floating through February thanks to the help of Kez and Canterrain, and now we want to try to move things up a notch. So stay tuned.

No question, my favorite character is Livy. If I were to imagine the way an intelligent dog might converse with me, attitudes and loyalties as they are, this is very close. I suppose it also helps that I have a dog that looks an awful lot like her, although she is not a Corgi. Mine is an Australian cowdog, with an extra helping of dingo. The ears give it away.

Yeah, I’m still stuck on Livy. The combination of snarky impatience, loving concern, and WELSH CORGI sort of seal the deal.

I got a liking to Tychia. She is not just a pawn. She does what she pleases and has some agenda of her own. She’s sometimes irritating, but got more smarts that I initially thought. And I like smart characters.
What about those nudity disclaimers anyway? I kind of don’t understand. Art is always full of nudes and nobody minds. Is it a local thing? I am from Middle Europe. Are they necessary in the US?

First thing- beautiful page. truly something special. love that pink glow, I wonder where is it coming from…Claude’s hair is perfect. Who is it in the mirror? I mean, it kinda looks like Xylia, and kinda not… is it me, or she’s missing a hand? And the pink-haired girl? How many girls will Claude have a “thing”?I’m worried (and pleased, yum) that he has no shirt on…and the look in her eyes… well, it seems lusty. Can’t wait!
I think I will always have a soft spot for Claude/Charlie (Charlie bit me!). And not just because he’s gorgeous (and he is). He is the kind of man I always fall for: a bit shy and geeky, clumsy, smart, bookish. To me, he is a full character, I can see him exist, live and do. He has doubts, his vulnerable (both emotionally and physically). And so- go CC! We love ya Claude!

Those of you (like Lloyd, Kelly Anne and Hagar) who’s faves are Livy or Claude will be happy with page one of this chapter. ^_^
Ina- Regarding nudity, yes Ina in the US it is very different than Europe. Much more Puritan in many sectors (like here in the midwest). I do not wish to offend anyone, so I put the warning out there.
Finally, Hagar- the reflected woman should have two hands- if it looks like she only has one, that’s a boo-boo! ^_^

the art is sooo beautiful on this page!!! i just can’t stop staring at it!!
and i’m gonna have to agree with both hagar’s choice of character and her reasons… i just love claude cause i love guys like that in general. <3 (but charlie/claude is especially awesomesauce!

I really like Tychia, but I think my favourites are Adora and Katharos, precisely because they remind me of the relationship between me and my sister.

Adora is my favorite, I love the sibling relationship with Katharos. I have four sisters and two brothers myself so I like to see some rivalry.

Sarah and Tinkerwinks- I really wish I could spend more time with these characters. If I was writing a book, I could. A side story about them would be neat too.

Lovely new page, as always!
It completely surprised me – I can’t imagine what will happen in this chapter…
The first associations are that the pink-haired girl is either the nursemaid or related to her in some way (both have the same hair and gentle expression).
Hmm, it’s difficult to choose a favourite, but I think Ambrosia, closely seconded by Claudius and of course Livy. I also like Brimey for some reason… I really like the ‘wise mentor’ role Ambrosia has, plus great character design and speech.

What a clever piece that is! (I especially love the bit of flame that is still in Aristo’s tail. (you know – the flying horsey thingy.

My curiousity has been raised…pink-haired girls, in contrast to purple-haired ones
my fav. characters are Ambrosia and Deimos. I know Deimos is evil, but it’s an excellent sort of evil. I love it!

Going with the old and new, I’ll go with Tychia, Livy, Katharos, and Nevrika. Seriously, in the past month, I think I’ve bcome Tychia’s biggest fan.
And hey, new chapter picture! Wonder who the hot pink haired girl is….although it looks like she might have memory talents. Just a guess and probably wrong, but whatever.

Favorite character? Right now it’s Tychia, but I like Xylia and Claud. Psuil is on the list too. Albone=weirdo.
Brent? What’s this about you being Tychia’s biggest fan?!

Some unsolicited commentary on your online store, is that I think pdf downloads haven’t really caught on, unless they’re free. WOWIO was night and day from their freebies to pay. I think if/when you start putting out paper books/prints/etc., you’d see a difference. In fact, I think you’ll do phenomenally (and I normally can’t spell that word), IMO.
